Dave's grandpa helped form Ferrysburg Fire Department where Dave's dad served as a firefighter and where Dave spent 20 years and worked his way through the ranks from firefighter to lieutenant and on to assistant chief before a medical retirement.  Dave was devastated to step away from the fire service; which is what shaped MEVE into life.  Dave knows the importance of having quality equipment and having knowledgeable technicians maintaining that equipment.

Melissa has had the fire service in her family since her and Dave married in 2012.  Melissa previously worked as an accounting assistant at a local bank and as a bookkeeper at a local law firm before her and Dave made their dream of servicing their local fire and police departments a reality.  Now Melissa manages the bookkeeping and office duties alongside Dave.
